Africa - Travel

Africa is a Holiday Paradise!

If you're an adrenalin junkie seeking to raft the rapids on some of the world's biggest rivers, plunge from the highest bungee jump or climb a snow-capped volcanic peak on the equator, there are adventures aplenty. For the less adventurous, you can suntan on beaches along most of Africa's coastline, play a round of golf on one of Africa's fabulous courses or sip a cocktail while watching the red African sun set over a waterhole as the elephants come down to drink. And then there are all those all too familiar African tourist attractions from Egypt's Pyramids in the North to Cape Town's Table Mountain in the South, from the mysterious markets of Timbuktu and Marrakesh in the West to the coral reefs of Zanzibar and Nosey Be in the East.

The list goes on and on as you will quickly find if you search MBendi Travel's extensive directory of Tourist Attractions. And if you find we've missed one of your own personal favourites, either on or off the African continent, you can record the details on our website so others can share your pleasure. You can even E-mail us some of your holiday photographs, the best of which we will display on our website, with your ownership clearly attributed, or share your experiences of visiting some special spot by adding a glowing description through our website.

MBendi Travel Directories

Using MBendi's directories of Accommodation and Restaurants, you will soon discover there are literally thousands of places to stay and eat in Africa ranging from luxury six star hotels and game lodges to tiny bed and breakfast establishments. While we provide information on somewhere to stay in every African country, including the islands off the coast of Africa, we are sure to have missed some and you can help other travellers by recording those details on our website, as well as the details of special places you have stayed elsewhere in the world. You can also give your favourite restaurants, at home or abroad, some free publicity by recording their details on our website. But first search the Accommodation or Restaurants directory to make sure some other fan has not already listed your special favourites.

Africa is also a great place to organise a business event, whether a major exhibition and conference with a cast of thousands or a more intimate strategy planning session for your subordinates. In combination with a safari to one of Africa's game parks, a cruise down the Nile or rounds of golf at Victoria Falls, for instance, it also provides the ideal way to reward the achievers in your company while building the team for tomorrow. You can use MBendi's directory of Event Venues to find the ideal place for your event, while MBendi's directory of Events provides an extensive list of public conferences and exhibitions. If you are the manager of a venue or the organiser of a public event which is not recorded in our directories, then please submit their details via our website after first checking to ensure they are not already there.

We also provide a directory of places so that you can see information you need tourist- or business-wise related a specific city, town or village. Again you can expect this directory of places to grow as new information is added to our other directories.

Travel to Africa does have its own special quirks. If you're an old Africa hand, you might like to use MBendi's Travel Tips section to share your special lore, while if you're a novice traveller, you could use MBendi's directory of Travel Organisations to find everything from tourist bureaux to event organisers ready to assist. In our directory of Publications, we are also compiling details of African travel guides and other publications.

Medical and Safety Information

We strongly recommend getting up-to-date medical and safety information before visiting any African country.

Note to Travel Organisations

Travel organisations are particularly encouraged to ensure the MBendi Travel directories are comprehensive, current and correct as your businesses can only prosper from an increase in tourist numbers. MBendi's Business Opportunities section has details of leisure properties for sale, while the Employment Space includes job vacancies in the industry.
