10kms from the 1820 British Settler historical village of Salem, church grave yard contains many settler graves being the progenitors of later South African families.
Two churches, both Methodist, the earlier one dating from the18th century. Site also of Richard Gush of Salem who mediated peace between Settler and Tribesmen in 1834 War.
Excellent cricket ground with local Sunday matches.
Close by is also the sister British Settler village of Seven Fountains with similar attributes.
