Location and Size
The republic of Yemen is a country in southwest Asia, located on the southwestern coast of the Arabian Peninsula.
It is bounded on the north by Saudi Arabia, on the east by the Oman, on the south by the gulf of Aden and on the west by the Red Sea.
Yemen is divided into five regions: Mountainous, Coastal Plateaus, Al-Rub, Al-Khali and a group of Islands.
Yemen covers an area of about 555,000 km2.

Sana’a - Political and Historical Capital.
Aden - Economic and Commercial Capital.
Other cities include Hodeidah, Mukalla and Taiz.
