Pulp production is dominated by Brazil and Chile. Paper and Board production is dominated by Brazil and Argentina. Brazil and Chile rank amongst the world’s largest pulp exporters. Brazil, Chile and Argentina are the only newsprint paper producing countries on the continent.

The continent’s annual newsprint paper consumption is in the region of 2 Mt.
