Around 68% of available land is forested in Sweden. The country is Europe’s largest exporter of pulp, and accounts for around 8% of global production. The country is also a major newsprint producer.
The industry is dominated by companies such as Metsa Serla, Sodra Cell, Holmen Paper and Stora Enso.
