The Asian economic recovery, resulting in higher pulp production in Japan, has been seen as a boost for raw material producers such as Australia and New Zealand.
Australian paper/board production and exports have increased dramatically in recent years, following the slow recovery of Asian markets such as Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Imports to Australia are also up, on the back of improved economic conditions.
