Russia is estimated to be the world’s 2nd largest producer of tungsten,
after China. Russia main producer’s are in the Russian Far East, where the
Primorskiy and Lermontov complexes export 100% and 50% of their product.
A joint venture has been finalised between Almalyk Mining Metallurgical
Combine and Israeli Metek Metal to develop a copper – molybdenum prospect
in Uzbekistan.
